Habitual abortion 250-500 mg IM at wkly intervals. Imminent abortion 500 mg IM 2-3 times wkly until bleeding ceases. Treatment must be continued w/ 250 mg IM twice wkly for several wk. Infertility due to corpus luteum insufficiency 250 mg IM about 3 days after rise in basal body temp. Primary & secondary amenorrhea 2 amp Progynon Depot 10 mg IM on 1st day, then 1 amp Progynon Depot 10 mg IM after 14 days, together w/ 250 mg Proluton Depot IM.
Contraindications
History of herpes of pregnancy, previous or existing liver tumors.
Special Precautions
Before starting treatment of secondary amenorrhoea, the presence of prolactin-producing pituitary tumour should be excluded. Pregnancy, diabetes. Benign & rarely malignant liver tumours which may lead to life-threatening intra-abdominal hemorrhage. Unusual upper abdominal complaints.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic skin, anaphylactoid & inj site reactions.
